g Scout'o'tron drop pod deployment

it's not immediately obvious how to deploy a scout'o'tron to a planetary surface. I've tried putting it in the Orbital drop slots but that doesn't seem to work, is there some special method?

There should be a button in your hub GUI. Click that, if you have a Drop pod in your hub's cargo, the spidertron will be deployed.

I just started playing today on v0.4.0 and i couldn't find the button. After reading the changelog i noticed the part about 'orbital vehicle deployment mod' and also the fact i didn't have it installed. Could it please be added as a dependencie? Thanks in advance, nice mod idea

As far as I can tell, it is a required dependency, (spider-launcher 2.9.0)

I have no idea what’s happening on your end. Maybe an artefact from mod updating? Not sure.

I think I figured out where these complaints are coming from.
There should be some sort of info about the orbital deployment being in the hotbar GUI, most mods add their own buttons so if you play with any QOL stuff the space is already taken up by those and you have to manually select orbital deployment or reconfigure the hotbar. It doesn't help that the orbital deployment option is at the very bottom which might require you to scroll to even see it and not everybody might check the tiny [...] in the UI at all or even know that's a thing.

I’m thinking of adding a button attached to the platform gui similar to how TFMG had before

But this still doesn’t show the player the shortcut - I could add something to the mod portal page

Maybe a tutorial too, that triggers once the scout-o-tron is crafted

yeeep, i've identified that as an issue, but since the deployment mod isnt mine, its up to Ceeloman how to proceed with that.

All i can say is improvements are on the way.
