🌐 Enable Planet Mods Lite

by Kryzeth

A more streamlined, Lite version of Enable All Planet Mods, removing several planet mods which either warped the early game too much, or simply did not add enough unique content for the mid to late game. A more playability-focused planet pack. 🌐

Random Tech Info

Just some general information regarding the currently included planets (1.0.24), their technological requirements, and general placements:

  • t1 Vulcanus - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Space. Easily completable as the first space location, just as in vanilla.
  • t1 Fulgora - Red/Green/Blue/Space. Very completable as the first space location, just as in vanilla.
  • t1 Gleba - Red/Green/Blue/Space. Completable with some effort as the first space location, just as in vanilla.
  • t1 Cerys - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Space, and discovery (not completion) of Fulgora. Can technically be completed as the first space location, but may become easier with additional technologies. Orbital drops are locked until completion of the Cerys science pack.
  • t1 Rubia - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Space, and discovery (not completion) of either Vulcanus or Gleba. Can technically be completed as the first space location, but may become easier with additional technologies. Orbital drops are locked until just before unlocking the final Rubia science pack. Contains several cross-compatible post-Rubia technologies after completion of other planets.
  • t1.5 Cubium - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Purple/Yellow/Space, and discovery (not completion) of either Vulcanus or Gleba. Can technically be completed as the first space location, but notably requires more science from Nauvis than other potential first destinations.
  • t2 Sun Outer Orbit - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Space/Vulcanus
  • t2 Moshine - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Space/Vulcanus
  • t2 Corrundum - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Space/Vulcanus
  • t2 Shchierbin - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Space/Gleba
  • t2 Pelagos - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Space/Gleba
  • t2.5 Igrys - Requires Purple/Vulcanus
  • t2.5 Panglia - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Yellow/Space/Gleba, and unlocking the Foundry from Vulcanus. Features cross-compatible technologies that require partial Moshine completion.
  • t2.5 Sun Inner Orbit - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Purple/Yellow/Space/Sun Outer Orbit. Further technology requires Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora, then Aquilo, then Promethium.
  • t3 Aquilo - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Purple/Yellow/Space/Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora/Rubia
  • t3 Maraxsis - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Purple/Yellow/Space/Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora/Rubia
  • t3 Paracelsin - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Purple/Yellow/Space/Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora/Rubia
  • t4 Secretas/Frozeta - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Purple/Yellow/Space/Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora/Aquilo
  • t4 Vesta -Requires Red/Green/Blue/Yellow/Military/Space/Aquilo and completion of Paracelsin
  • t5 Solar System Edge - Requires Red/Green/Blue/Purple/Yellow/Space/Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora/Rubia/Igrys/Aquilo/Maraxsis/Paracelsin

Conclusions

Potential starting paths:

  • Vulcanus -> Rubia/Moshine/Corrundum/Igrys -> anywhere else -> Aquilo/Maraxsis/Paracelsin -> Frozeta/Vesta/SSEdge
  • Fulgora -> Cerys -> anywhere else -> Aquilo/Maraxsis/Paracelsin -> Frozeta/Vesta/SSEdge
  • Gleba -> Rubia/Shchierbin/Pelagos/Panglia -> anywhere else-> Aquilo/Maraxsis/Paracelsin -> Frozeta/Vesta/SSEdge
  • Rubia/Cerys/Cubium? -> anywhere else-> Aquilo/Maraxsis/Paracelsin -> Frozeta/Vesta/SSEdge

The Vulcanus/Gleba paths each branch out into several options, while Fulgora dead-ends into Cerys almost immediately, needing to double back towards Vulcanus/Gleba before being able to travel to any other Fulgora-accessible planets.

All branches eventually require completion of Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora/Rubia to reach Aquilo/Maraxsis/Paracelsin, and neither Secretas nor Vesta are required for Solar System Edge/Shattered Planet/Promethium Science pack complete

Further Testing

Either in a future release of Planet Mods Lite, or as part of a separate standalone modpack, Outer Rim, Asteroid Belt, and Redrawn Space Compatibility may be added as requirements, each of which significantly will change the above properties by modifying science packs, planet placement, and technological progression.

Outer Rim Info

Biggest change adds Orbital Cannon which can transport players and items between the Outer planets:

  • Aquilo <-> Paracelsin <-> Frozeta <-> Secretas

Planetary Science Changes

  • t3 Aquilo - Produces new science packs: frozen blue and frozen light purple
  • t3.25 Paracelsin - Requires frozen blue and frozen light purple, leads to frozen red and frozen orange
  • t3.50 Frozeta - Requires green/purple/yellow + frozen blue/light purple/red/orange, leads to frozen yellow and frozen green
  • t3.75 NEW Secretas (Stationary Platform tech) - Requires red/green/blue/purple/yellow/space + frozen light purple/blue/orange, leads to

Several post-Aquilo sciences now require one or more frozen science packs in place of Aquilo science.
