Personally I like the change (but not having to fix all my platforms!).

This change should be illegal! This should've bumped the MAJOR version to 2.x.x because it breaks everything.

1.4.x -> 1.5.x is major version, 1.5.1 -> 1.5.2 is regular update. 0.x.x is pre-full release and 1.x.x is full release, 2.x.x is reserved for full mod overhaul if it ever happpens

You are not following the standards Polka. As per https://semver.org/, the standard way is MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH.

If a full mod overhaul gets so distant from the mod, it is not a major, but a new mod name.

Given a version number MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH, increment the:

MAJOR version when you make incompatible API changes
MINOR version when you add functionality in a backward compatible manner
PATCH version when you make backward compatible bug fixes

I know you are getting hate for this but I actually do think this was a good change. It helps an aspect of Space Age feel more integrated into K2 in a minor way. I didn't love having to redesign all my ships but obviously that kind of thing is something that has to happen when a major mod is undergoing adjustments.

Still would love a setting for it, to either keep the old recipe, use both or use only new one, keeps everyone happy and free to play the game their own way.
