I can't get a lot of items out of scrap. The only things I'm seeing are iron & copper plates, ammo magazines, gear wheels, stone furnaces, stone bricks, yellow belts, yellow inserters, plus electronic circuits and red science once unlocked, and that's it. No labs, no boilers, no armor, no steam engines, no burner inserters, no chests, no power poles, and as a result I eventually run out of items entirely.

My Factorio updated today. Maybe related?

The only mods I have loaded are base 2.0.72, elevated rails 2.0.72, quality 2.0.72, saplib 0.0.3 and recursive-recylcing 0.0.5.

Rolling back to 2.0.69 didn't help.

I've just tried loading the exact same mods and version and I'm unable to reproduce the issue.
I'm not really sure how to help you guys, sorry you're experiencing this.

To be clear, I am not using the same mods as the other guy, but I am limited to creating exactly the same materials. It's game-breaking - cannot progress without the power. Apparently, either you're doing something we are not doing, or not doing something both of us with identical problems are doing. Any ideas?

Sorry for the spam. Didn't update or change anything, but started another save and the problem doesn't happen in the new save.

Not sure if this is it or not, but be sure to pick items up off the ground where the recycler spits them out. I initially was trying to just take items out of the recycler internal inventory leaving the output square filled with whatever random item. But it seems like doing this causes some items to disappear?

@Janzert - thx a lot for this tip. I thought the mod was broken and it was a layer 8 problem all the time :D
