The known behavior: if used electric energy interface from editor mode (cheat power prod/cons) - it doesn't work with any basic accumulators. But solar panel, energy turbine and etc works fine.

It does not work with any energy source, not only EEI.

Well, I need more info about your setup)
I've tested with stable/experimental build factorio with and without space age win11 x64 releases.
Maybe some other mods lead to fail and hidden accumulator are not placed by script properly.

it will be good to have logs, version info or mod pack sets to find the bug or recreate described by you behaviour. Maybe I've missed something and make wrong decision about bug description. Thank you for your understanding.
