Sorry for the necro, but I added the DF names in with the symbols just now and they show up fine in game. Not sure if you fixed that or if that was a Wube change.

Oh yeah symbols are no problem. What I meant is that, in DF the quality is indicated by symbols around the item's name. Like "+copper pick+".
You can't do that in Factorio, even with my mod the format is strictly "Item name (Quality name)".

Ahhh, yeah, I'm not surprised that's not possible to implement.
