would this work with mods that add other planets? would those planet surfaces be added to Nauvis as well?

Unfortunately, I don't think any other planets would be added to Nauvis, since the identification in the code would be invalid for the surface ID. Honestly though, I am not sure as I have never really looked into the code of those kinds of mods.
