The description and even short description is very open about the fact that this was simply ported to 1.1 from 8ZN who apparently wasn't around or didn't have the time back when 1.0/1.1 dropped.
I was using the mod at the time, so I ported it after a while of no updates and published it so I could keep using it on my multiplayer server of the time.
I neither make nor did I ever make any claims of being the author.
It was always simply a port to get it working in 1.0/1.1 and then when 2.0 dropped and I went through the mods I authored it got ported as well. Some time after I uploaded the 2.0 version of this I found out that 8ZN was in fact also updating their mods. However as I had already done the update I just left it at that.
There were never any intentions to add to it or do anything but required changes to keep it working as Factorio updates.
