I appreciate the suggestion, but I think I will stick to biter farming for now. Thus, my mod will not explicitly add any new resources on the map, and will be "more vanilla". I might change my mind later.

I checked out the chicken mod just now, it seems a bit incomplete at the moment (sorry, I know it's your mod). If I could clone and modify it I could possibly make it suit my needs, if that is OK with you.
